The position of Sales & Operation Planning (S&OP) Leader is accountable for the architecture and execution of the S&OP process and for the successful global rollout and implementation; This is in order to increase the company’s supply chain and overall performance.

This key role reports to the Global Planning Manager, is a key member of the Global Supply Chain Team and is based in ADAMA headquarters in Israel.

 

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Lead monthly Global S&OP meetings with the company main stakeholders after consolidating S&OP information from subsidiaries and business units worldwide.
  • Create and drive continuous improvement of world-class demand planning and S&OP processes
  • Measure, control, and improve S&OP plan through clearly defined metrics
  • Track & control demand plan & forecast variances
  • Closely cooperate with local forecasters in sales companies in order to continuously improve forecast processes and forecast accuracy
  • Provide analysis and insight of inventory and supply plan variances, conduct root cause analysis for out of stock or low stock items, and challenge the sites
  • Manage total inventory pool to minimize excess inventory
  • Participate in the development of statistical models to optimize safety stocks without negatively affecting customer service levels
  • Monitor and proactively manage supply chain constraints such as lead times, sourcing strategies, capacity and transportation. Understand and communicate the limits of the supply chain when impacts to demand fulfillments cannot be mitigated
  • Utilize a collaborative and consensus approach by establishing and maintaining supportive relationships with cross functional teams: Procurement, site planning, Quality, Logistics, Finance, Marketing and Sales to ensure effective communication of strategic and tactical issues

 

Previous Experience

  • 8+ years of experience in supply / demand management

Education, Language & Computer Skills

  • B.Sc. in Industrial engineering & management
  • Fluent English and Hebrew (reading, writing, speaking)
  • High capability in Microsoft Excel and Power Point
  • General knowledge of IT and systems processes
  • Understanding of ERP system
