Role Summary
The People Manager will own the entire employee lifecycle from point of hire. This role will act as partner to the various business units to help drive employee engagement, satisfaction and productivity.
This role own Employment & Employee Relations by proactively following changes in relevant country/local employment laws and involving/ raising them to the appropriate people leaders for consideration and implementation.
This role will focus as partner/advisor to the General Manager, functional leaders, and employees by executing/aligning people strategies with functional needs in the areas of: talent management, organizational design, change management, leadership/functional development, succession planning, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits administration, learning & development and career opportunities.
The People Manager will work closely with multiple countries General Managers, his/her leadership team and directly support all employees in the field and offices to execute the company’s people strategy and continuously improve the work environment, increase engagement and improve retention.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Acts as an active and influential player enabling the effective diagnosis of business issues / strategy and goals, turning these into People plans.
- Responsible for managing compliance cases & investigations locally if they arise.
- Acts as change agent to drive transformation strategies and plan execution
- Manage talent optimization and retention by establishing salary, compensation, benefits, rewards and recognition, career paths, learning, development, and performance plans.
- Advise hiring managers on key decisions throughout the staffing process, including candidate profiles, assessment process, offers and process efficiencies and improvements.
- Provides advice and coaching to the General Managers, Functional Leaders, and Employees on people matters and acts as a sounding board and coach.
- Create and implement People policies, processes and practices focusing on continuous improvement and business needs.
- Acts as the performance improvement driver and provokes positive changes in the people management.
- Educate and advice management on personnel issues including separation, job transfers and promotions.
- Manages and tracks C&B budget, Headcount, contractors and other People data in partnership with Finance.
- Be an ambassador for the function and represent Adama People internally and externally (as appropriate)

- Knowledge of local employment laws and regulations
- Critical to the success of this role will be to develop highly efficient and scalable processes to manage onboarding, and employee services end to end.

Education:
- A Bachelor’s degree (Human Resources, Industrial Engineer, Business, Law, Psychology, or another applicable field)
- MBA/master’s degree a plus
- Must have fluency in English Written and Verbal and as a plus one of the following languages: Dutch
The following experiences are preferred:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the capacity of People Partner supporting multiple countries
- Prior experience in multiple People disciplines such as organizational design and development, change management, performance management, talent management, employee engagement, compensation and benefits design, employee relations and people tools.
- Experience in the chemical (agrochemical, pharmaceutical, other) with manufacturing operations is a plus but not required.
- Willingness to travel internationally up to 35%
