Overview

Control Solutions Inc. is looking for an experienced Key Account Manager to join our Pest Control division. The Key Account Manager will be the primary contact and relationship manager for our top pest management companies and select distributors.

The Key Account Manager will support the business director and regional sales representatives in maintaining productive relationships with distributors, managing pricing and programs, driving sales, and identifying new opportunities.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute key account plans by building relationships, facilitating interactions between top pest control companies and the CSI technical service team, coordinating with regional sales representatives, and developing efficient programs
  • Understand CSI’s product offerings, functionality, positioning, and competitive advantage
  • Identify and resolve any customer concerns and recommend a course of action to alleviate future concerns.  Communicate to leadership quickly on corrective actions
  • Maintain awareness of pertinent customer information, future plans, payment performance, and communicate any information that would affect company decisions
  • Maintain an understanding and knowledge of competitive products and programs
  • Submit ongoing account reports via Salesforce to include daily activities, competitor information, and customer interaction
  • Network with key customers to identify and address specific needs
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers to ensure long-term success
  • Act as the liaison between customers and internal customer service, finance, marketing, and technical teams ensuring clients’ requirements are met
  • Identify and attract prospective strategic customers
  • Ensure brand consistency
  • Negotiate contracts and develop programs
  • Maintain high customer satisfaction ratings, according to company standards
  • Stay up-to-date with internal and external developments and suggest new ways to increase sales
  • Manage expense budget and maintain regular expense reporting
  • Additional duties as assigned

 

Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a National/Key Account Manager or established relationships with major pest control companies and distributors
  • B.S. degree in business, entomology, or relevant field
  • Experience in sales and customer service
  • Demonstrable experience in negotiation
  • In-depth understanding of sales performance metrics
  • Hands on experience with Salesforce CRM and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Leadership experience or potential, ability to influence without direct authority
  • Availability to travel as needed (up to 70%)
